Can we just have a thread for posting great talks/speeches given by prominent atheist thinkers? I'll start with this recent gem.

Any thoughts? Any other talks that we should all see?

This is a fantastic idea, as evidenced by the fact that I sat down tonight intending to check emails for 10 minutes, and ended up mesmerized by Harris and Dawkins for over an hour. Thanks for posting it!

Pat Condell is also pretty brilliant, although wholly offensive at time, and controversially 'racist' according to some, as he is VERY anti-Islamist.
He won the Blasphemy Challenge, by the way...

Penn Jillette has some interesting thoughts on Atheism vs. Agnosticism. The video is kind of old, but still quite relevant, at least to my mind.

Definitely worth the almost hour and a half. Site says it was recorded 2001. Adams is very entertaining.

From Ted: Best of the Web- Douglas Adams: Parrots, The Universe, and everything.

Oh, man. Douglas Adams is one of my heroes! And thanks for the heads-up on Penn's new podcast: with Michael Goudeau in it, it seems like it's the spiritual successor (such an odd phrase...) to Penn Radio from several years ago!
