If you are interested to blog about ethics and religion, check out this Kansas City blog by Bill Tammeus. He used to be a long time writer for Kansas City Star and is a fairly liberal Xian. A few of us participate on this blog and over past 6-8 months we have noticed a "dramatic" drop in "crazy" posts of Xians - no more blind biblical quotes, now it is more on a personal level.

Today, he is talking about a "suggested" prayer that Rick Warren should say at Obama's inauguration ceremony. I particularly found interesting his mention of non believers and that they still will call god nothing :o)

One thing of caution - there is one crazy guy there - he goes by adamh/Will Graham/James Christenson/Just Thinking - his style is very easy to tell. He is an Internet troll and demands attention all the time. He has been trolling science, ethics, political blogs all over the net and posting on several local/private blogs of atheists, cursing at them, etc. He has appointed himself as anti-atheist crusader, invokes Soviet Union, atheism, Nietze, Gulags, not submitting to the rule of atheism, keeping hands off his children, etc. Just ignore him, do not engage with him, he has been doing this for past 4-5 years on the Net on multiple web sites and has at times also posted to Craig's List suicide help section encouraging people commit suicide as they were not worth living if they could not find help in god.

You will be surprised that in a few short months through conversation, factual discussion, pragmatical and practical application of rationality, logic and historical approach, religious crazies will stop being crazy and moderate Xians will come out in your support to mend the bridges. You will be surprised, there will be religious people on this blog who may like to team up with you on community outreach projects like blood drive, or cancer walk, or cleaning up a park, etc.
