The Anchor has a wide selection of sandwiches and drinks. When they're busy, they can be on the noisy side, but The Anchor is nice for a change of pace every now and then.
Location: 1109 E Douglas Ave
Getting there: (map) It's on Douglas, one block east of Washington - the southeast corner of Douglas and Ida, to be exact.
Parking: There is a small parking lot on the west side of the building, accessible from Douglas. There is also street parking on Douglas and on Ida until 9PM. Beyond that, parking space is scattered around the nearby lots.
Reservations: Yes, they take reservations.
How to find us: Look for our tabletop signs. We'll be seated somewhere in the east room.
Menu: (menu link) Soups, sandwiches, and the sort of drink selection you'd expect from a "drinking establishment". They also claim to be vegetarian-friendly.
Recommendations: I like the reuben. Please let me know what's good, so I can name it here!
Atmosphere: Space is very open, although the chairs are small and stiff. Incoming noise can be a problem on busy nights, but our own outgoing noise just blends in. Decor is sparse.
